Our Belief

I. INTRODUCTION

God established a testimony by gathering His children in Orlando in 1982. Over the years, many came to the salvation in Jesus Christ, were baptized and grew in the church. Presently, we meet at two separate locations for assembly. In the new millennium, we are led to establish this web site to share how God leads His children in this confusing world.

II. THE CHURCH: OUR FAITH

1. The Eternity of God: One true God (I Thess 1:9) self-existing from everlasting (Rev 4:8) and is from the beginning (Ps 90:2, Ex 3:14), all living triune God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit (II Cor 13:14, Rev 4:9).

2. The Divinity of Christ: The only-begotten Son of God Jesus Christ (John 3:16, Luk 1:31), conceived of the Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Mt 1:20), the Word became flesh (John 1:14), lived a sinless life (Heb 4:15), died on the Cross for man for the redemption of sin (I Cor 15:3, Col :14), bodily resurrected (Rom 1:4), ascended into heaven unto glory (Heb 1:3), shall come again in glory and power (Rev 1:7, Mt 24:30).

3. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit: By His indwelling today (John 14:16) man can repent and be born again (John 3:5), receive power (Act 1:8) live a holy life (I Thess 4:7-8). The Holy Spirit moves among the believers (Phil 2:13) and in all things leads man to glorify Christ (John 16:13-14).

4. The Word of God: All Scriptures are inspired by God (ll Tim 3:16) to testify for Christ (John 5:39), and is the only basis and principle for the daily walk of a believer (Ps 119:105, Act 20:32, I Thess 2:13).

5. The Redemption by God: Christ is the propitiation of God (I John 2:2), the only mediator between God and man (I Tim 2:5), the only Name for salvation (Act 4:11-12). Sinners are born again through the Spirit (John 3:3), by grace through faith (Eph 2:8), not by work nor by obedience to any ritual nor of oneself (Eph 2:4).

6. The Judgement of God: God established Christ as the Lord of Judgement in the last day (Act 10:42, II Tim 4:1). The dead shall be raised for judgement (John 10:24, 6:40), the believers unto life and the unbelieved unto condemnation and death (John 3:18, 10:25).

III. CHURCH: THE HOUSE OF GOD

The church is the assembly of those who are called out of the world by God (John 17:16, Col 1:13), moved by the Spirit (Eph 2:18f) to become the household of God (I Tim 3:15), to be partakers of the life of Christ (Col 3:4), to receive the anointing of the Spirit (I John 2:27) and be the testimony of Jesus Christ (Act 1 :8, Rev 19:10). Christ died (Mark 10:45) to redeem the church (Act 20:28) in order to receive a glorious church, holy without blemish (Eph 5:27). Therefore Christ Himself builds up the church (Mt 16:18, Eph 2:20) and accomplishes the eternal purpose of God through the church (Eph 3:10)

Having the fullness of God (Col 2:9), Christ became the Head of all for the church (Eph 1 :22). He is the Head of the church (Col: 18), and the church is His Body (Eph 1:22). We are all baptized from the Spirit to become one Body and drink of one Spirit(I Cor 12:13), all jointed together as members of one body (Rom 12:5), all participate in the ministry to function in accordance with the gift given by the Spirit (I Cor 12:11, Eph 4:16) to build up the Body of Christ (Eph 4:12) to become the holy temple and the dwelling place of God (Eph 2:22) to have the measure of the full stature of Christ (Eph 4:13) waiting for the glorious return of Christ (phil 3:20f, Col 3:4, I Thess 4:17, Rev 19:7).

IV. CHURCH: THE ASSEMBLY

(1) The church as the house of God will gather before God in the Name of the Lord (Mt 18:20, I Cor 14:23) to worship in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24) to glorify Him. In the liberty of Christ (Gal 5:1), the Spirit leads the believers to the Father (Eph 2:18), free from ritual, tradition or formality (Col 2:23) to recognize in the New Covenant of the blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:19, Luke 22:20) that the letter kills and the Spirit lives, no confusion but peace and order (I Cor 14:33,40) to manifest the testimony of Christ Jesus.

(2) According to the content of the meeting, there are the following (Act 2:42, 1:14, 4:31, 17:11, 18:26, 17:10, 2:14, 3:12, 10:43, 13:16):

1. The first day of the week we gather to break the bread to remember the Lord (Act 20:27), for the Lord taught us to remember Him by breaking of the bread and the drinking of the cup to display His death till He comes(I Cor 11:26)

2. The preaching and studying of the Word of God is focused upon the purpose of the provision and cultivation of believer’s life, not just the search and communication of knowledge. The preacher searches before the Lord and delivers among the saints for them to receive in the Spirit, such that God will cause the growth of life in love (I Cor 3:6, John 3:6, Eph 4:16).

3. The gospel meeting is for all the saints to participate in promulgating the gospel (Phil 1:5), for breaking up of the stronghold and leading everyman to Christ (Col 1:28), for taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (II Cor 10:5), and for their baptism into Christ (Rom 6:3).

4. The fellowship meeting is for all saints to exercise the spiritual gifts in accordance to the leading of the Spirit for the edification of the church (I Cor 14:4), avoiding the boasting of any individual or quenching the Spirit (I Thess 5:19), but presenting before God one by one with order and decency (I Cor 14:31, 40), for God is not of confusion but of peace (I Cor 14:33).

5. The prayer meeting is to offer supplications, prayers, petitions and thanksgivings on behalf of all men (I Tim 2:1), to pray without ceasing (I Thess 5:17), not to lose heart (Luke 18:1), to present to God the sacrifices of praise (Heb 13:15), to make known to God our requests by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving (Phil 4:6) in accordance with the will of God (I John 5:14), to offer before the Lord (Rev. 5:8, 8:3) as the priests of God the Father (Rev 1:6).

6. In all meetings hymns are used to praise God (Eph 5:19), to be sung with thankfulness in hearts to God and with admonition of one another through psalms, hymns and spiritual songs (Col 3:16).

(3) Financial offerings are presented by everyone as the Spirit touches the willing hearts (I Cor 16:2, Mal 3:10), lest we should face the Lord with empty hands; but not to give grudgingly nor under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (II Cor 9:5-7). The key is to offer one’s body as a living sacrifice, acceptable to God (Rom 12:1).

V. CHURCH: THE BODY OF CHRIST

1. Since the church is the house of God, God is the Head and all children become the household of God through the divine life of the Son of God (Eph 2:19). The church is the Body of Christ, who is the Head of the church, so the Head of everyone (Eph 1:22, Col 1:18, I Cor 11:3). The church is of the first to obey Christ (Eph 5:24), to be joined to the Head (Eph 4:15) so that Christ Jesus may have preeminence in all things (Col 1:18).

2. All members receive the life from Christ to become children of God (John 10:10, 1:12), and the call to servanthood from God to serve Him (Rev 19:10). Since all are chosen to be a royal priesthood in the New Testament (I Peter 2:9), all are to be useful and necessary (I Cor 12:22). There is one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (I Tim 2:5), so there is no intermediate class or special clergy to serve on behalf of the others as laity.

3. Everyman serves God in accordance with the spiritual gifts given by the Spirit and the ministry established by Christ in order to manifest one’s function in the Body as led by God (I Cor 12:4-5). All members are fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causing the growth of the Body (Eph 4:16) to glorify God the Father (Phil 2:11).

4. The Holy Spirit establishes the elders and the deacons in the church (Act 20:28, Phil 1:1) to provide a team leadership for the flock through preaching, admonition and care, such that all things be in obedience to the Word of God and in accordance with the will of God (I Tim 3:15), not to emphasize titles but the spiritual reality.

5. The church is an assembly of God’s children to gather in His Name locally as called out by God, not belonging to any organization or association, but to have spiritual fellowship in Christ Jesus with God’s people of other localities through the spiritual life in Christ (Rom 16:2, Act 18:26, Titus 3:13, Col 4:16).
